Babylon Mediterranean Cuisine & Hookah Lounge
Don’t pack the bowl too tightly. Fluff the tobacco until it’s even with the bowl, poke a hole in the center of the foil and then holes all around it. Make sure the charcoals are placed on the edges of the bowl and rotate it periodically.
If the smoke gets ashy, Babylon recommends blowing out the carb softly and rotate it. Take out the bowl and blow through it. Make sure there’s no water in the hose.
You can mix the water with ice cubes or substitute the water with any type of juice. There’s a special mix called “fish aquarium” where you put the oranges and lemons in water. It enhances the flavor of the tobacco and gives it a boost.
Loosely pack the bowl. Place the coals on one side of the bowl and then move it over towards the center. Clean all parts after each use.
Red Sea Hookah Lounge
Sealed hookah tobacco that’s been sitting around for more than two years is probably not as fresh. It’s recommended not to use it. We use air compressor to clean the pipes. Hookahs should last for years.
If the smoke gets ashy, make sure the pieces of the pipe are thoroughly cleaned. Pack tobacco loosely, with five to eight grams in a standard bowl.
Instead of water, try using ice to make the water cooler, milk to thicken the smoke or lemon juice for a kick. Orange and apple juice are also great substitutes.
The golden coals are the best. Standard barbecue coals are OK to use as well. Japanese coals don’t last as long, but you can’t taste the charcoal. 60 minutes is a good session time to smoke hookah.
